Friday Favourites: Fall Self-Care

Autumn is a great time for self-care. The cool temperatures make it easy to get cosy. Here are a few of my favourite ways to practise Fall self-care.

This season, with its falling temperatures and leaves, makes it a perfect time to get cosy. As the earth’s rhythm changes and the days grow shorter, it’s a signal for us to slow down, too. Self-care is a buzzword now, but for me, it’s a necessity. I haven’t been consistent in taking the best care of myself. That’s changing, step by step.

Although I’m not able to enjoy the Fall weather this year, I know how I would renew myself during this season. Here are a few self-care rituals that would make my soul happy at this time.

Friday Favourites: Fall Self-Care

Favourite Way to Unwind

Reading in bed with a cup of green tea ranks high on my self-care list. It’s my favourite way to unwind at any time of day.

Favourite Lazy Day: Sunday

I love sleeping late on Sundays when I can. After working hard all week, I deserve some extra time to snooze or just lie in bed doing nothing.

Favourite Cosy Place

Curled up on a couch, enjoying the warmth of a fireplace is my idea of bliss. Add thick socks, books, and a cuppa, and I would be in heaven. It doesn’t take a lot to make me happy.

Favourite Fall Clothing

Chunky sweaters were made for autumn. I love my island climate, but when this season rolls around, I wish I was somewhere much cooler so that I could wear oversized sweaters and boots. Wearing clothes in fabrics that I love makes me feel like I’m giving my body a treat.

Favourite Beverage: Hot Chocolate

I have a confession: I’m a chocoholic. So you already know my favourite hot beverage of the season. To be honest, though, I don’t need it to be Fall to guzzle mugs of hot chocolate.

Favourite Fall-Scented Candle

If you want to bring the scent of Fall indoors, Frostbeard Studio has Book Lovers’ Soy Candles* for this and every season. The range is incredible. I wanted them all! But since Fall is the focus, I think this candle is just right. Plus, vanilla and cinnamon are my favourites and pumpkin, well, that just spells autumn. So it’s easy to see myself wrapped up in bed, reading, and enjoying these cosy scents as they waft throughout my room.
